The Leeds Food Aid Network (FAN) is an informal network bringing together food provision services in the city, that benefit people experiencing food poverty / insecurity. These include drop-ins, soup kitchens, outreaches, foodbanks, cafes and enterprises.
The network also involves those who come into contact with people who are struggling to provide enough food for themselves or their families, e.g. advice workers, and those who are interested in the wider picture of food waste, health and education etc.
We aim to improve information sharing and partnership working between organisations, so that people can be effectively signposted to relevant food provision services and also get support with their longer term needs. We link in with the West Yorkshire Food Poverty Network and other national networks and campaigns.
