Leeds North and West / South and East Foodbank

From Monday 4th May all of the foodbank outlets will be closed to the public and instead, food parcels will be delivered directly to homes by a team of delivery drivers. The foodbank centres will continue to receive referrals and provide food parcels for Leeds residents.

To register as an agency for online referrals, please contact either of the foodbanks directly by email:

The new National Citizens Advice helpline freephone number - 0808 208 2138 (Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm) can also help people with getting a referral.

We Care Leeds

We Care Leeds will be running their usual food box delivery service up to and including Friday the 8th of May (despite it being a bank holiday). After this, their service will be significantly scaled back.

Leeds FAN

We have now added a referral form to our website that you can fill in to refer someone for a food box through We Care Leeds (until Thurs 7th May). After this, our referral form can still be used if you want to refer someone for signposting / support with finding emergency food provision.

FareShare

Anyone can apply to be a Community Food Member of FareShare. Membership is free for the time being. More details are here. E-mail Pete Barringer on peterbarringer@fareshareyorkshire.org.

Leeds Welfare Support Scheme (open all bank holiday weekend)

The LWSS will be doing referrals over the whole bank holiday weekend. Referrals can be made for those needing food, help with gas and electricity top-ups, white goods and items for babies. Below are their flyers for how to make an agency referral and how people can self-refer to the scheme.

Here are details of how to refer someone as an organisation/worker:
