Abigail Housing provides homes to refugees and asylum seekers in Leeds and Bradford. The people that live in Abigail houses have fled persecution, war and insecurity, only to arrive in the UK and find themselves homeless. Abigail Housing provides the destitute with a safe place to live so they can start rebuilding their lives.
They run two projects: the Asylum Seekers Project provides housing to asylum seekers who would otherwise be on the streets; the Refugee Housing Project provides temporary accommodation for new refugees, to help bridge the gap between Home Office support and a successful application for social housing.
