Involve is a well-established and trusted community hub in the heart of Hunslet, South Leeds. Originally launched as an off-site education provider, we responded to the needs of our local community during the pandemic and evolved into a vibrant, multi-use centre.
Today, we support hundreds of local residents every month through a wide range of activities, groups, and services - from young people and family programmes to health and wellbeing support, skills workshops, and community events. Some of these we lead directly but most through organisations using our venue. Currently we have 14 community groups regularly using the centre, are a Warm Space (food and a chance to chat), run a community garden, are the South Leeds Centre for Warmth (supporting local people on energy efficiency and addressing fuel poverty and its’ causes) as well as running a number of community programmes in partnerships with arts and health organisations.
We also support/ advocate for a number of local people in accessing services. Our weekly footfall is usually over a 120 people per week across all building users, though we also take part in larger one –off events.
We are a registered charity, led by a team of dedicated volunteer Trustees, supported by a part-time project manager and a team of active local volunteers. The needs of our community are at the heart of what we do and we are striving to have a positive impact on our community.
