Hello, my name is Candy Ferreira Powell. My husband Jonathan and I are working with YWAM (Youth With a Mission). We lived in Leeds for several years playing a very active role in the local church and citywide events like Pray for Leeds and Mahabba Leeds. It's also where I became a follower of Jesus, where I got baptised and where we were married.

We have since been away for a season of equipping for mission among unreached people groups in Europe. 

However we have exciting plans to return to Leeds in Spring 2023 to pioneer a new YWAM ministry!

The main purpose of us contacting you is to invite you to worship and prayer walk around the city with us every morning from Tuesday 18 October - Friday 21 October in preparation for this big step. 

There will also be 2 opportunities to hear more about this ministry we will be planting in Leeds next year. Please add these to your calendar.

These will take place at the:

1. Intercultural Missions Group

Tuesday 18 October, 7:30pm

Church of the Good Shepherd 

2. Pray4Leeds prayer lunch

Thursday 20 October 12:10-14:00

Gateway Church, Saint Mark's Church, St Mark's Rd, Leeds LS2 9AF

We will share for a further 20-30 minutes after the Pray4Leeds gathering, giving space for you to ask questions and connect. Working closely alongside the local church is very much part of our plans so would love to meet with you.

​We are so excited about sharing the vision God has put on our hearts and the opportunity for us to pray together. We look forward to dreaming together, with God, about what mission in Leeds and beyond might look like.
