The Welcome Café is a missional community. It was established in Burmantofts as an outreach programme of the Bridge Community Church in Leeds. It reaches out to alcoholics, drug addicts and all kinds of non-Christian people. It has seen people come to faith and there are many other encouraging advances of God’s kingdom in this deprived part of Leeds.

This Iron Sharpens Iron meeting will hear from Mark Yeadon and Mark Roques who are involved in this work. They are also writing a Grove booklet about the Welcome Café which will explore how Herman Dooyweeerd’s modal aspect theory can really help us in discipleship and outreach.
