Sunday, 15th September: 9:00am - 4:00pm
The Introduction to Theology 12 session course offers an opportunity to reflect upon the Christian faith and deepen your own personal journey. It’s a good first step if you would like to develop your theological reflection, study skills, and/or begin to engage with the sources of Christian theology in a more academic way.
You will study alongside others in a supportive learning community with a knowledgeable and encouraging tutor.
The course is structured as a journey you take with your fellow students. You will travel through five signposted routes each of which will build your theological knowledge and help you develop a selection of theological skills:
- Worship (prayer, the how & why of worship)
- Bible (approaches to the bible, introduction to the New Testament, how to explore a bible passage)
- Spiritual Growth (theological reflection, deepening biblical studies)
- Belief (creeds and where they came from)
- Doing Theology – Faith Seeking Understanding (e.g. recognising distinct theological understandings, contemporary theologies, living theology)
