ESOL in Harehills
View all projects
Since 2006, every Tuesday and Thursday morning the basement rooms at St Aidan's Church Harehills and nearby rooms at Trinity United Church are transformed into lively multicultural communities where 50+ people from all over the world come to learn English and make friends. The classes are taught and coordinated by one paid ESOL tutor and a number of highly qualified volunteers. Their students are mainly asylum seeker and refugees. In 2010 the project became a registered charity.
