Young Lives Leeds Impact Report - ????READ HERE

Young Lives Leeds has produced a report illustrating the impact of the third sector in supporting children, young people and families. The report quantifies the activity delivered by a small sample of providers, and the impact that activity has had on the young people and families involved.

The report also includes a range of case studies which detail the savings that preventative services have made.

Young Lives Leeds has produced this report to support third sector organisations with service planning, discussions with funders, and in thinking about new partnerships and ways of working. The report will also be shared with commissioners across health and local authorities.

Invitation to feed into future reports

Members told us they would like to run this report again for the same period in 2024 (1st April to 30th June – Q1) to give more organisations the opportunity to feed in, and give us a wider evidence base. If you would like your organisation to be included in this work, we would need at least one (but ideally both) of the following pieces of information from you by Friday 19 July 2024:

  1. Your usual monitoring reports
  1. Specific information on the key themes highlighted in the first report (we will provide a form for you to complete with this)
  • Diversity of the young people who access the service – this would be a specific ethnicity monitoring form to make sure we receive all the information in the same format
  • Where young people who access the service live – this would be postcode (full would be ideal, but first part is fine)
  • Statutory involvement – number of young people accessing support who don’t have statutory support (e.g. a social worker)
  • Impact on young people’s mental health – as it’s difficult to find a universal measure for this, we would be asking for any case studies that particularly highlight this

If you would like to feed into this piece of work, please contact ann.crossland@val.org.uk by Friday 3rd May, and we will send you the form to complete for the quarter. If you are not sure you can provide this information, or would like a further discussion about this piece of work, please contact megan.russell@val.org.uk
