Recently, children at Kidz Klub helped prepare kindness packages for others. As we worked, we asked: "How do you think people will feel when they receive these?" Hands shot into the air.

"Happy!"

"Amazing!"

Then one child said: "They will feel beloved."

Another followed: "They will feel like they belong."

And then, almost on cue, another shouted: "They will feel delightful!"

We could hardly believe it. These are the very themes we've been exploring with the children this year. But in that moment we realised they weren't just hearing the words - they were beginning to understand them. Perhaps even more importantly, they were hoping others would experience them too.

What a gift.
