Have you listened to the Leeds Sanctuary podcast yet? Last September, we reviewed our podcast and began sharing conversations which we believe can contribute towards a flourishing city.
Working in the city centre, we know people’s experiences and interests can vary widely, and so we aim to cover a variety of topics in which people are already invested, while creating opportunities for our listeners to learn and perhaps even uncover new ways of thinking.
The podcast streams align with our values – Encounter, Justice, Sanctuary and Flourishing – and are hosted by members of our team. The conversations can be thought-provoking, warm and funny, and/or informational depending on the topic, and we hope that together they are a taste of what our communities and events are like for those who attend.
Topics so far include Encounter and Community with local city councillor, Ed Carlisle; Racial Justice with Leeds Church Institute’s Faith and Racial Justice Lead, Dwayne Hutchinson; Faith, Sport and Mental Health with CEO of Sports Chaplaincy, Warren Evans; and Toxic Thinking, with many more also available to listen to.
