My friends, what brings tears to your eyes?  Is it your health, loss of a loved one through death, marriage, finance, career, business, children, relationships, family and so on?

Whatever it is, receive the word of comfort today from the word of God in Revelation 21:4 that “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

As Christ-followers when we go through any kind of trials or troubles that bring tears to our eyes, we must never forget that God is always near and this season of life is a time to draw closer to God.  Remembering the following will give us a different perspective:

  • God loves us and He is on our side – We must settle this truth in our mind because satan is going to try and question this.  Noting can separate us from His love.
  • Call upon God – Rather than ask, “why me?”, go to Him in prayer. He has assured you that if you call on Him in your time of trouble, He will answer you (Psalm 50:15) – so try it! The answer He gives you may not be what you want to hear – but it is the answer you will ever need.
  • Maintain an eternal perspective – Our troubles here on earth pale in comparison to the hope of eternal life in Heaven, where there will be no more death, mourning, crying or pain – Praise God!

Christ-follower, invite God to wipe away your tears this year. If you are currently not a Christ-follower, call upon the name of the Lord today and you will be saved.

All glory to God!
