My friends, it is because of the faithfulness of God upon our lives that we are able to see the end of this year – not because we are deserving or better.  We started the year with many and they are no longer with us.

As we end the year 2019, it befits us to take time and reflect on the faithfulness of God upon our lives this year – in our family, relationships, marriage, jobs, career, health, businesses, and so on. 

I am confident we will find that God has not failed us (even in our various trials).  My confidence is based on His word in Deuteronomy 7:9 “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments”.

Whilst God has not promised us a trouble-free life (remember, our trials and troubles are meant to draw us closer to God), He has certainly assured us His children of:

• His faithfulness and love – Regardless of whether we deserve it or not. And also, to our generation.  Aren’t you glad of this – I am.
• His strength – In times when we are weak and cannot carry ourselves physically, emotionally and spiritually. Praise God for this!
• His protection – From those who seek to do us harm, discourage us, put us down and ridicule our faith in Him.

Christ follower, my prayer for you as we end the year 2019 and transition into the year 2020 is that you will finish this year well, iniquity will not dwell in your tent and you will fulfill your purpose in life.  The glory of the Lord will never depart from you and your household In Jesus Name. Amen.

If you are currently not a Christ follower, I pray that God will reveal His faithfulness to you and your family and you will know and experience Him in a special way In Jesus Name. Amen.
