Weekly Devotional - Thanksgiving Creates a Fresh Perspective

My friends, I have found that sometimes our perspectives are tied into the emotions, circumstances and events we go through and if the situations are not pleasant, they skew our ability to be thankful.

However, when we choose to give thanks in all circumstances, it creates a fresh perspective and allows us to see God working in our difficult and joyful seasons.

Our thanksgiving should not be seasonal but daily – from the rising of the sun when we wake to its going down when we go to sleep.  Psalm 136 gives us a framework to giving thanks.  I encourage you to prayerfully meditate on this scripture and then take an audit of what God has done for you from the beginning of this year.

You will discover just like I did that:

  • God is good
  • He never fails
  • He loves us dearly
  • Every good thing we have comes from Him
  • God is kind toward us and much more…..

Christ follower, celebrate God by thanking Him daily for what He has done in your life, what He is currently doing and what He will yet do.  If you are currently not a Christ follower, come, today is the day of salvation.

All glory to God!
