The show, which premieres this Friday, 31 March, with two more shows on Saturday 1 April, is the culmination of the first stage in a three-year multi-media project which aims to gather local stories from a community which can often feel isolated and ignored.

Seacroft was established in the 1960s as a bold, almost new town experiment in building a whole community, civic centre and shops. These days, it’s an estate which is home to about thirty thousand, most of below average income, and a Tesco Extra.

Chapel FM, the only arts centre in the East of Leeds, has been tapping into the talent which inevitably exists in such a large community, but which might not have ready outlets where that potential might be expressed or fulfilled.
