After the successful Real People Honest Talk project in Spring, the video of the Big Conversation event is now available - watch it here!

For the project, we worked with young people across 5 schools in Kirklees, creating safe environments for them to talk about issues that affect them, both locally and generally. At the Big Conversation event, these young people came together with stakeholders and decision-makers and spoke about their issues. Those stakeholders and decision-makers were very impressed with the conversations and promised to take them forward.

Some quotes from the event:

"[...] hopefully the big officials here are going to take that to parliament and they're going to do something about it." (young person)

"When we come together and we share [these] problems then it's much easier for the problem to be solved." (young person)

"This project has been about listening to what [young people] are really concerned about [...]. It's good to see so many people here who are listening to them and can make things happen." (Bishop Nick, Anglican Bishop of Leeds)
