Pentecost Sunday on 24 May was a very special day for many of us, with church services and additional gatherings taking place across Yorkshire. Among the interdenominational events were the Global Day of Prayer and the Bradford Pentecost Festival, held outdoors in Bradford’s City Park.

It was fantastic to see so many at the Global Day of Prayer (see photos). People gathered at the Leeds Minster for a vibrant time of prayer, vocal worship, intercultural engagement and flag sharing representing different nations from around the world.

The Pentecost Festival brought together more than 1,000 people from churches across Bradford to worship God publicly. The event featured live music, prayer, a message from Andy Hawthorne from The Message Trust, and a wide range of activities for children. It was a fantastic celebration of faith and unity.
