We want to begin 2024 by saying a massive thank you for all your support. Whether that is donating money or food or toiletries, organising a fundraiser for us or simply liking and sharing our social media. We couldn’t do our vital work without our incredible supporters.

We were overwhelmed by the generosity of local people in response to our Christmas present appeal. The toys and gifts were distributed alongside fresh fruit and vegetables at our final drop-in of the year, with live music from the Roundhay Ukulele Group making it extra special.

We work with people seeking asylum who are living in Leeds, who have fled war or persecution and have come to the UK seeking sanctuary and safety. Every week we give out more than 80 food parcels and we give out 80 toiletry packs every month. We meet around 10 new people each week at the drop-in with people coming to us for a variety of reasons from people wanting help registering with a GP, finding English classes or helping children find a school place, to people who are destitute and street homeless.

Our experienced caseworkers support people to avoid crisis and/or support people quickly out of crisis and into more safe and stable situations and we are lucky to have an amazing volunteer team who help us to run our services.
