The Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund (Grant Round 10) is now open for applications.
The fund has a total allocation of £350,000 available across West Yorkshire, with individual grants of up to £10,000 available for projects that help make communities safer and feel safer.
Key dates:
• Applications open: 1 June 2026
• Application deadline: Midday, 3 July 2026
• Awards event: 8 October 2026 (attendance is required for successful applicants)
The fund is open to voluntary and community organisations, charities, not-for-profit groups, local authorities and other statutory agencies operating within West Yorkshire.
Projects should support one or more of the following themes:
• Supporting victims and witnesses
• Keeping people safe
• Safer places and thriving communities
• Early intervention and prevention
• Reducing vulnerability
• Supporting children and young people
• Tackling violence against women and girls
• Community safety and crime prevention initiatives
This may present an opportunity to support local projects focused on anti-social behaviour prevention, community safety, youth diversion, hate crime awareness, safeguarding, exploitation, organised crime prevention, and wider neighbourhood resilience.
