On Thursday 12th Febraury, we gathered in the St Georges' Centre to launch the Leeds Lent Prayer Diary 2026. 

We heard from Emma Flint who shaored some of her own story and about how the Christian Community in Leeds can help make a difference, and how we should care for ourselves. We then heard from a panel of people doing amazing work across Leeds and then heard from Rev Jon Swales about how both prayer and action are important in meeting the needs of our city. 

It finished with some women from Leeds City of Sanctuary singing 'How Great Thou Art' in their own languages and English, a really special moment.
