At this time of uncertainty for us all, we have not stopped caring for our dear children and their families. Our motto at this time is " Still there, still care".

We are achieving this in different ways as you may know;

Our safeguarding team are working really hard, alongside schools and agencies, in supporting families during this crisis.
We are still calling families, signposting them for support and for food boxes. This is being done by both staff members and volunteers - where existing relationships are in place with families.
We're still sending out over 1000 Kidz Klub Sheets every week to all the kids who attended our activities
We're putting lots of our Kidz Klub sessions and fun challenges on our YouTube channel - which since launch in March has over 500 new unique views.
We're delivering "Thrive" packs that include play, craft and toys to the most vulnerable kids.
Some volunteers have also offered to write cards and deliver "Thrive" packs to the children they would normally visit. How great they are?!

It’s such a privilege to be alongside our precious families even in ways we would have never predicted but we need your help!

How can I help?

Just recently we’ve been given the opportunity to start a Crowd funder through the Aviva Community Fund- whose aim is to help thousands of small charities and good causes build stronger communities all across the UK.

Through this project, we hope to raise £ 2,500 which will allow us to continue supporting our families in this time of crisis, who are some of the most vulnerable in the city.

As you may already be aware of, the current health crisis has hit all families hard, but even more so for those already affected by long term unemployment and poverty  - sadly we are heading for a fresh child poverty crisis with rates rising and deepening. Inner South Leeds has the 9th highest rate of child poverty in any county (YEP 7th March).

The money raised through this Crowdfund campaign will help us continue our work with the families at such a critical time; to fund our safeguarding team to support 50 families for six weeks, allow us to run our new website and develop our YouTube channel, help us post out activity sheets and to keep in contact with over 1000 + children, and help us fund our staff who are delivering our "Thrive" packs and food parcels.
