Weekly Devotional - Flowing in Ceaseless Praise

My friends, continual praise to the God who created the Heavens and the earth should be a daily occurrence in our lives.  However, we often take praising God for granted either through ignorance or because we don’t carve out time to do this and hence, we are reminded in Psalm 145:3 of the importance “Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom”.

Take a moment to reflect on the situation, circumstance and event of your life and you will surely agree that ceaseless praise to our God is necessary and if you can’t find any reason to praise Him, the following is worth considering as a starting point (not an exhaustive list) by any means:

  • Praise God for sending Jesus – Who died for you and me so we would not perish but have everlasting life and because Jesus gave His life for us on the cross, we have the hope of eternity.  Oh friends, praise Him for your salvation – no amount of money can buy this.
  • Praise God because He is our strong defender – The world we live in is full of people who are stronger than us by the reason of their status in life.  However, we serve a God who is stronger than them and able to defend us when we cannot defend ourselves – Give Him praise friends.
  • Praise God for His mercy – The mercy of God is freely given when we don’t deserve it – this is awesome because His mercy triumphs over judgement.
  • Praise God for His constant love – Even when we are not lovable, we have a God that is head over heals in love with us – no one can love us the way He does.

Christ follower, let ceaseless praise flow from your heart daily.  If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and experience the benefits of praising God.

All glory to God!
