My friends, remember, being a Christ follower does not give immunity from satan’s attacks.  However, we have the assurance of God’s word in 1 John 4:4 that greater is He that is in us than the one who is in the world – satan.

One of satan’s antics is to keep us in Spiritual Ignorance.  As Christ followers, we must always remain vigilant in prayer and sometimes fasting, as we fight for our faith in Christ Jesus. And yes, our faith is worth fighting for because of what Jesus paid for our salvation on the cross.

We are reminded in Romans 12:2 not to “conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will”.

Renewing our mind so we don’t fall prey to the spirit of ignorance requires:

  • Prioritizing the study of the Bible over other activities: satan causes all kinds of distraction and confusion in our lives to keep us in bondage and he does this by prioritizing other activities over our spending time reading and meditating on God’s Word. He knows that when we know the truth of God’s word, we will be set free from all his lies.

Christ follower be spiritually aware of this trick of satan and intentionally prioritize reading and meditating on God’s word where everything you need to do life can be found. If you are currently not a Christ follower, come and experience Jesus who is the way, the truth and the life and you will not be disappointed.

All glory to God!
