On Saturday 18th April, we went out into Leeds City Centre to share the love of Jesus in creative ways, and not only was it a lot of fun, but it was powerful too.

We had music, dancing, outdoor games, bubbles, and lots of fun activities to create a playground style space of encounter on the streets. It was wonderful to be able to spread joy in the city as we played and worshipped God outside. The atmosphere in City Square was infiltrated by the joy of the Holy Spirit which we all felt tangibly, as well as those passing by and lingering around the space!

These fun activities also created a great way to open up conversations about Jesus.

Some teenage girls experienced joy and freedom as they came to join in with the dancing, and they were grateful and moved as we were able to pray with them and talk about Jesus and the hope that He brings.

We chatted to a man about the love of Jesus, and although he was unsure whether Jesus actually loved him, he appreciated that we believed it was true for him!

A banterful conversation with a group of young women soon opened up into talking about how God sees our hearts.

It was lovely to see people of different faiths coming together too and enjoying the activities and the joyful atmosphere.

We had a lovely all age team, and it was so inspiring and encouraging to see the children on the team letting their lights shine as they played and worshipped, getting invovled with evangelism, and praying for those we met that God would continue to work in their hearts.

It was a wonderful time of getting outside and being visible as followers of Jesus!
