Bradford Cathedral will be supporting the National Day of Reflection on the 23rd March 2022, on the second anniversary of the UK lockdown: a time to connect and support the millions of people who are grieving, and remembering the family, friends, neighbours and colleagues we've lost during the pandemic.

The impact of COVID will be referenced in the daily prayers held in the Cathedral, and a minute’s silence will be observed at 12noon, a time which is being marked at cathedrals and public venues across the country. Prayers will also be said at this time.

Morning and evening prayer is held online, and you are invited to join every Monday – Saturday, including on this anniversary. The Cathedral will also be open on Wednesday 23rd March from 10am – 4pm for visitors, following morning services at 8:15am and 10:15am, and you are welcome to join in person to mark the minute’s silence.

The Revd Canon Paul Maybury, Acting Dean at Bradford says:
"So much has been endured over the past two years, and so much has changed for many of us and for our world. We thank God for his faithfulness, comfort in grief and suffering and commit ourselves to creating a better future for all. Please join me on this important anniversary."
