My friends, persecution of our faith is a strategic tool that satan uses to wage spiritual war against Christ followers.
Globally, Christ followers are being persecuted for their faith and are often ridiculed. However, we must never give up and must draw strength from the word of God when we face any kind of persecution for our faith.
The word of God is true and we are reminded in 1 Peter 4:12-14 not to be “surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you”.
Our faith is worth fighting for and we must choose even in the face of persecution to:
- Believe in the truth of God’s word – If we suffer for the sake of Christ, He will defend us when we are not able to defend ourselves.
- Believe in the hope of eternity with Christ – The persecution we face in this world is temporary and it pales in comparison to the glory that awaits us in Heaven.
Christ follower, God will empower you with the anointing to be resilient in the face of Persecution. If you are currently not a Christ follower, the world we live in is temporary, decide today for eternal things that are more permanent and will last forever.
All glory to God!
