Alison Lockwood was nominated by the treasurer at St John's for the BBC Radio Leeds competition called 'Make a Difference'.

Alison is a Licensed Lay Minister at St John’s and the co-ordinator of their pastoral team. She regularly visits parishioners and during the lockdowns she rang over 70 people every week to make sure they were ok, visiting many on their doorstep too.

Alison served others with outstanding faithfulness and sacrificial dedication, and she attended a BBC Radio Leeds award ceremony at Royal Armouries last week. She didn’t come first out of the candidates, but still received an award.

Alisons talks about winning the award here.
