St Luke’s Holbeck, an inner-city parish in South Leeds, is looking for an experienced children’s worker to lead a Church toddler group on Tuesday mornings in term time. We are looking for someone who will lead, grow and develop our existing work with children and lead a team of volunteers.

(There is an Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be a practising Christian in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010)

Toddler Group Leader at St Luke’s Church Holbeck reaching out to families in the local community.

1 - To head up and run our weekly term time toddler group.

2 - To build a team of volunteers who will help run the toddler group

3 - To build relationships with parents and children attending church and to build bridges with new families who live in the local area

4 - To implement best practice in all areas of Child Safety and work within the Diocesan guidelines working closely with the safeguarding officer at the church.

5 - To comply with all of St Luke’s policies and protocols, particularly safeguarding & health and safety

6 - To maintain a child-safe environment and ensure the gathering space is prepared adequately before use and tidied up afterwards.

7 - To plan celebration events for the toddler group as part of a team e.g., Christmas activities, and community parties etc.

8 - To attend relevant training events and encourage volunteers to attend.

9 - To create a budget (with support) and submit expenses with receipts.

10 - To maintain and keep an up-to-date rota of participants and keeping strictly to GDPR guidelines increase our pastoral contact in the community
