Several years ago LCI developed a group called Churches Against Racism.

We are now seeking a part-time contractor with the necessary skills to develop the group further, liaising with LCI staff and enabling the group to flourish.

This is a funded contract, expected to equal one day per week, although flexibility in the way time is used and its distribution across one or more days is a matter for discussion during the tendering process. Flexibility is envisaged.

The outcomes we wish to see from the award of the tender include the revitalisation of the Churches Against Racism group, the consolidation of the CAR steering group, and the development of strategic planning to enable churches to address racism within their own communities and across the city of Leeds.

The ability to build effective relationships across a wide range of individuals and groups, is essential. Reasonable and agreed expenses to achieve these outcomes, as well as the expenses of the CAR group (e.g. venue hire) will be reimbursed.
