As the Cook, you will play a vital role in overseeing the operations of our kitchen and managing guest interactions. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising daily kitchen activities, coordinating meal planning and preparation, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and providing guidance and training to our team members and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring all team members and volunteers understand their tasks and responsibilities.

Coordinate meal planning, including managing supermarket orders, deliveries, and donations.

Oversee food preparation, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Provide training and guidance to new team members and volunteers working in the kitchen.

Report any guest-related issues or concerns promptly to the Operations Manager.

Report any health and safety incidents or breaches to the Operations Manager for immediate action.
Qualifications and Skills:

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey instructions clearly and effectively.

Strong leadership qualities, capable of providing direction and support to colleagues and volunteers.

Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Proficient IT skills, specifically Excel and Google Sheets.
Rate of Pay: £13.25/hour
Hours: up to 20 a week. Monday to Friday
Holidays: 20 days + bank holidays pro rata
