Community Development Worker (Full Time or Part Time Considered)
£26–28k • 2-year fixed term • Ireland Wood, North Leeds
We are looking for a warm, motivated Community Development Worker to help us strengthen our role as a welcoming, sustainable hub at the heart of Ireland Wood, Tinshill and Holt Park.
This role is all about bringing people together, listening to people, responding to local needs, and helping our community flourish. You’ll be involved in empowering a range of established projects — including Warm Welcome meals, Baby Basics, the LS16 Uniform Exchange, and community support activities — while developing new initiatives that promote connection, wellbeing, and involvement.
We’re looking for someone who can build strong relationships, work collaboratively with partners and volunteers, and bring creativity to developing activities that genuinely build on the hopes and meet the needs of local residents. You’ll also help sustain the work through good monitoring, reporting, and support with funding applications.
If you’re passionate about community, enjoy working with people from all backgrounds, and want to make a meaningful difference through relational, asset-based, people-centred work, we’d love to hear from you.
We are currently unable to sponsor candidates without Right to Work in the UK. Candidates must have Right to Work in the UK to take up this role.
