A really fun 2 hours of art and chat, YOUR BEAUTIFUL BRAIN is a FREE workshop. Anyone over 50 from African and Caribbean communities is welcome. You can discover how to keep their brain healthy as they age….by colouring in, doodling, drawing or painting. Really. It sounds simple, but it can do wonders for your beautiful, awesome brain.  

Don’t worry if you’re not arty – there will be skilled artists to help out. At this workshop, you’ll learn more about the link between art and brain health, and you’ll be helping researchers understand the brain and how to keep it healthy.

Discover how amazing you can be! Anyone attending also gets a drawing kit to take away with them. Run by Oxford University and The Black Dementia Company we are aiming to make sure black communities are properly represented in studies about mental health and age. At the moment, they are not. And we want to change that. One art class at a time!
