Rev Jon Swales of Lighthouse Church, Andy Muckle of St George's Crypt, and Dave Paterson of Leeds Homeless Charter will be sharing on the topic of rough sleepers and homelessness. This gathering is being held deliberately in summer because it is at this time of the year when we find that aggressive behaviour on the streets in the city centre increases due to the warmer weather. We have already had incidents of violence during the warm spring. As we head into summer, we will be praying against violent behaviour amongst the rough sleeper community. We will also be praying for other communities that see a potential spike in violence this time of year, e.g. Harehills.
