We invite you to this interactive creative day retreat in the heart of the city, set in beautiful gardens and a peaceful church, to use painting, poetry and a mix of creative practices to share the good news of the gospels.

Attendees will be invited to use art materials to reflect on the seed parables found in the gospels, nature, and care for creation.

Bronagh Daly, Faith and Creativity Lead for Leeds Church Institute will be delivering the session along with local artist Janet Freckleton.

They will be reflecting on an 8 week nature sketch walk project they completed in 2024, looking at how Wisdom’s Call in Proverbs 8 inspired increased connection with nature and scripture.

This retreat is aimed at Sunday school leaders, children’s liturgists, lay readers, paid and volunteer youth or family workers, faith ambassadors, youth ministry workers and catechists or anyone who shares gospel teaching with families and young people in the community.

This event is part of Leeds Church Institute's Art Theology Festival 2025.

All creative materials will be provided by Leeds Church Institute.
