Following a wonderful final day of the choir year yesterday, many of our choir members are preparing hard for what promises to be a superb concert on Thursday evening, at St John's Church, New Briggate.

Our Choral Scholars had their own 'showcase recital' a few months ago, and - not to be outdone - our wonderful volunteer singers are sharing some 20 performances with us all on Thursday: there are vocal and instrumental items aplenty, including the first performance of Leeds Minster's Madrigal Society, newly-created, and music ranging from Donizetti to Reger, Pelham Humfrey to Mozart, Gilbert & Sullivan to Granados.
