We are a group of Christians meeting in Cookridge, in North-West Leeds, and our church exists both to worship God and to reach out to the community with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Our beliefs are based entirely on the Bible. They are those which Christians have believed throughout the centuries since the time of Jesus Christ.
Tinshill Free Church is an independent, evangelical, Christian church and was founded in 1968, meeting at our existing half-acre site at the corner of Tinshill Lane and Holly Avenue.
The word "Free" in our name means that we are independent of any outside authority, and not part of a denomination; although we do have regular fellowship with other churches and Christians nearby and across the world who also base their beliefs and practises on the Bible.
At first services were held in a hut, but in 1983 the present brick building was erected.
