Moortown Methodist Church serves a large housing estate. Designed as a dual-purpose building, it is suitable both for worship and for social activities. The Moortown congregation worships on Sundays with he congregation at St Stephen's Anglican Church, or at Alwoodley Park Methodist Church. Occasional evening services are held.

The church is also the distribution centre for the North Leeds Foodbank.
