86th Leeds Brownies

Do you know a girl aged 7-10 who would love to take on new challenges, make brilliant friends and discover the world around them? If so then Brownies is for them!
Brownies are part of GirlGuiding (https://www.girlguiding.org.uk/) a global organisation helps to empower girls and young women to help their local and global community, speak out about issues they care about, try new things and learn new skills, make friends, build confidence, and most importantly have fun! Even though GirlGuiding is over 100 years olds, we are always up-dating our program and making sure we stay relevant to the girls of today.
Brownies is for all girls from any background aged between 7 and 10 years old. At 86th Leeds Brownies we have lots of fun. Here are some of the things our Brownies said they found most fun:
having a caileigh
learning about the five senses including learning to read brail, trying to guess flavours without being able to smell them first, and creating stories using touch instead of words
going to York for a trip to see fudge being made and to ‘DIG’ to learn about archaeology
having a campfire and making s’mores (toasted marshmallows squished between two chocolate biscuits!)
learning about Brownies in other countries like Peru and the Netherlands and playing some games from those countries.
As you can see we have a very varied program with lots of exciting things to do. We are also very affordable at just £1.50 a week and lots of grants available for free uniform, free trips and overnight stays.
We meet every Wednesday from 6.15-7.30pm at St Martins Institute LS7 3LB (Chapeltown). If you would like to know more, or want to come to one of our meetings and see for yourself what we do, please drop in or contact us at: email@example.com
