My friends, I don’t know about you, but there is no place I would be other than the presence of the Lord.  Why? every day, we see our global environment descend into one chaos or another.  People’s lives are being affected whether they know it or not and we can see this manifested in the level of frustration in our homes, business environment, social circles and so on.

Yet, in these challenging times and as children of God, we can look up to God for help – the Maker of Heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2).

There are tremendous benefits of coming and remaining in the presence of God backed by His word in (Psalm 16:11).  When we do, we are promised that:

  • ·God will make known to us the path of life – This means that the wisdom, knowledge and understanding we need to accomplish His will for us here on earth will be revealed to us through reading and meditating on His word.  This will then be manifested in our daily life choices.  Note, that I said “His will” not our will.
  • God will fill us with joy – Not happiness.  The difference between joy and happiness is, we are going to be and remain joyful regardless of the situation we find ourselves because our joy is not short-lived.  However, happiness is very situational and is based on how we feel from day to day.
  • ·God will give us eternal pleasures - This is the greatest benefit we could ever wish for – the hope of spending eternity with God at His right hand – Hallelujah!

Christ follower, daily seek to be in the presence of God and you will experience His promises concerning your life. If you are currently not a Christ follower, there is no other place to be than In His Presence – so come.

All glory to God!
