Catholic Leeds Diocese taking action to reduce its carbon footprint

The Catholic Diocese of Leeds is continuing its efforts to promote 'green energy' across the area. The diocese has moved to a ‘green energy’ supplier, along with a number of other dioceses. Supported by the Justice and Peace Commission in the diocese, efforts are continuing to explore other actions that the Diocese could take to reduce its carbon footprint across the many parishes and buildings of the diocese.
In collaboration with the University of Leeds, an evaluation and feasibility study is being carried out to asses ways of reducing the carbon footprint and increasing energy efficiency of the diocese. Read more here.
