Weekly Devotional - Bring Jesus your Nothing

My friends, I’m sure we are all familiar with the Bible story of Jesus miraculously feeding five thousand people with just one little boy’s lunch. Read the full account of the story in (John 6:1-14). The boy had only the meager small lunch he had managed to put in a sack and bring with him—just five little loaves of bread and two small fishes.

What about us? Are we failing to bring our nothing to God because we think there is no way He could use it?

We can start today by bringing God:

  • Our life – By acknowledging Him as our Lord and Savior and confessing that He died on the cross for our sins, and rose again so that we can have eternal life.
  • Our love – Walking in a daily personal relationship with him – learning His word, applying it to our life and experiencing a changed life in the process.
  • Our praise and thanksgiving – For all He has done in our life, all He is currently doing and will continue to do and above all for the hope of eternal life.

Christ-follower you don’t have to know how God will use what you have, you just have to be willing to bring it to Jesus. He will bless it—and you—because you brought it to Him. If you are currently not a Christ-follower, the true meaning of life awaits you in Christ when you bring him your life – come.

All glory to God!
