About the Charity:
St. George’s Crypt is Christian Charity in the city of Leeds providing shelter and support and working with the homeless, the vulnerable, and those suffering from addiction. Our aim is to provide a safe environment with physical, emotional and religious support for those who suffered abuse, suffer from addiction or who are homeless.
Job Purpose:
The roles are primarily based in your local community, however, there will be opportunities to join our fundraisers at events and in to help in our offices as well.
To build support for St George’s Crypt in the local area by distributing St George’s Crypt collection tins throughout shops, cafes, and restaurants in the local community.
To act as the first point of contact for retailers and restaurants who have collection tins for St George’s Crpyt in your area, informing them of the work of St George’s Crypt.
To recruit potential fundraisers from the cafes and restaurants supporting us with collection tins.
To promote St George’s Crypt fundraising events and appeals by distributing posters and leaflets in your local area.
To keep records of collection tin locations and totals, providing timely records and updates to the fundraising team.
Key Role Responsibilities and Main Tasks:
- Administration
- Manage a comprehensive bank of collection tins in the local area
- Maintain up to date banking records of collection tins
- Responding to and keeping in touch with collection tin sites
- Keeping on top of posters and literatures on display in the local area
- Providing support to collection tin sites who may wish to fundraise for us, thanking them for their support in a timely manner
Charity Wide Responsibilities:

- Applying an attitude towards forgiveness and justice informed by biblical and Christian theological principles in dealing with all staff, volunteers, and supporters.
- Due to the nature of the role and the workplace, the post holder must be over 18 years of age.
