Leeds North and West Foodbank is a local Christian charity that is partnered with the Trussell Trust, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in our local community. Our Foodbank was set up in 2015 following the reorganisation of Leeds foodbank. We opened as a Charity (Leeds North and West Foodbank) with 1 warehouse and 6 distribution centres. We have now increased the number of distribution centres to 8 over the past 4 years, providing free short term emergency food to people in crisis.
We are now looking to appoint a part-time Logistics Manager to join our team and become a key part of the Operational Management Team. Reporting to the Project Director, you will co-ordinate the day-to-day management of the warehouse, liaise with our donor team to manage a regular supply of donations coming to the warehouse and out to our Distribution Centres and regularly update the team on items most needed to balance supplies. You will have the ability to plan, manage and monitor a project, have experience of managing people but also as working as part of a busy team delivering high quality customer service. Possessing excellent inter-personal skills, you will be able to establish and maintain relationships as well as valuing others, particularly when dealing with people from disadvantaged, marginalised and socially excluded backgrounds.
We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated Manager who is able to demonstrate enthusiasm for the work of the foodbank. You must hold a full UK driving licence. The contract is initially for 2 years, continuance will depend on securing further funding.

Hours: Part time, 20hrs
Starting salary: £10 per hour
