There are a number of organisations in Leeds that all Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector groups in Leeds need to be aware of. Here's a little list to help you on your way...

1. Charities Information Bureau
The Fit4Funding site, brought to you by the Charities Information Bureau, not only gives you some broad tips about fund raising in general, but also helps out with some far more specific local stuff too. Check out the Leeds pages to find out about the Leeds Infrastructure Consortium as well as specific information on funding Health, Social Enterprise, Sports and Youth activities. Another key advantage of Fit4Funding is the free access they provide to GrantNet, allowing you to search for specific funders who may support your work.

2. Leeds Voice
This is the Community Empowerment Network organisation for Leeds, whose job it is to provide VCFS representatives with access to policy makers and partners in regeneration from other sectors. Voice do some great training that will help you to get your head around the structures of the city. The website is also perhaps the home of the most comprehensive list of VCFS vacancies in the city.

3. Voluntary Action Leeds
VAL is Leeds' Council for Voluntary Service. They support VCFS organisations directly, with a range of services and specialist advice including payroll, training and access to various resources. VAL recruit volunteers from all sections of society and find relevant placements for them in VCFS groups right across the city.

4. Leeds City Council
The Council gives grants to many VCFS groups in the city, through a number of different grants schemes. The VCFS directory contains contact details for over 2000 organisations, groups, clubs and societies in the Leeds area. This database is developed and maintained by Leeds Library and Information Service. Get your group listed on here!

And here's our directory of more faith-specific capacity building organisations... Contact any of these organisations for support in developing your project.
